I found the site layout, ease of use, and the people I talked to were exellent,
particularly a customer service person called SOMMER, who was really helpful,
and seemed to have a good handle on the gear they were selling and guilded
me to a correct purchase. The only problem I had was a reluctance to accept
overseas(Newzealand) credit cards, this proved problematic in the number
of phone calles required to set up confirmation for wiring money and extra
charges which had I known earlier I probably wouldn't have used this site.
To be fair I think some of the problems arrise from Newzealand financial
privacy laws which make checking credit ratings difficult.

There was a hang up with my order and it was in a holding status when I
checked up on it. The customer service rep informed me that one of their
reps had tried to contact me. No joy on that but they took care of me from
there. The gloves that I had ordered were not in stock. Initially they had
found a more expensive set of gloves in the same size. I agreed to that.
But in ten minutes time, the rep had called me back to let me know that
there was another set of gloves in the same price range as the originally
ordered gloves. Good on HockeyMonkey for looking out for its customers!!

I made my purchase during the evening hours and was not be able to reach anyone by telephone. Instead, I sent an email asking for help in changing the address. I kept out their phone number, knowing that I wouldnt receive a response prior to my item being shipped. Not only did I not have to call them, but when I checked my email first thing the next morning, I had received an email from Hockey Monkey telling me that they had corrected the address.
