Neck Protection: Cut Resistant Guards & Shirts

Starting August 1, 2024, USA Hockey will mandate neck laceration protection for all players on on-ice officials under the age of 18 in practices and games. Wearing neck guards in hockey is crucial for protecting players from potentially life-threatening injuries, shielding vulnerable areas of the neck from high-velocity impacts and reducing the risk of severe trauma.
